About the Author

Debbie Lynn graduated from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis in 2010 with a degree in English, concentrating in linguistics and minoring in creative writing. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and became a therapist, which she (half-jokingly) considers her back-up career until she can be a full-time author.

 

Debbie remembers some of her earliest fiction, written on lined paper with hand-drawn images in colored pencil. Over thirty years later, she can recall specific characters, plots, scenes, and even quotes, of these hilarious first attempts at authorship. She participates in National Novel Writing Month annually (look for @NamasteNerd on the website!). One of her recent NaNoWriMo adventures was a retelling of a story written for eighth grade English class (Those early stories really do stick in the mind!).

 

Debbie published two fantasy short stories, both in 2010, in anthologies with a small independent press. In 2022 she began her adventure with Kindle Vella, Kindle's serialized reading platform, with her urban fantasy series, Unveiled. In addition to its home on Kindle Vella, the first book in the series, Revival, is available on Kindle and online paperback retailers.

When not writing (or engaging in writing-adjacent tasks), Debbie watches too much Disney with her four-year-old, argues with her teenager about what to eat for dinner, and adds to her To Be Read pile.
